Later that afternoon i learned the sellers had already signed a contract with another buyer. As far as we were informed, the written counteroffer previously delivered to us had never been withdrawn. The handling of overlapping negotiations and outstanding written offers gave me serious concerns about the team's communication and transaction management. I would expect a listing team to clearly withdraw outstanding counteroffers before the seller enters into an incompatible contract with another buyer.
